In order to advertise to consumers, steadily growing had been the hyperlocal business directory MerchantCircle, as an online network, as well as a business directory for merchants that are located over in smaller towns.

Long targeting the features of its site has been MerchantCircle, and so, towards merchants versus catering to the consumer. This would be unlike Yelp and CitySearch.

By signing up its one millionth merchant, the network was able to hit a milestone figure. For the business directory, it is considered as pretty decent.
